Reclaim Your Life from Controlling Relationships

Being Controlled by Others

Everything is fine at first and then gradually you find that nothing you do is good enough. Nothing pleases that person in your life.

There will, always be criticism – it’s too much or too little, too big or too small, not good enough.

Maybe you are dependent on that person, and sometimes they’re dependent on you.

How do you stop the abuse, or at least learn how to handle it?

You might try agreeing with them about everything – never arguing. Maybe that works for a while. Then you might try pleasing that person – always deferring to them – making them feel important. For some, that will be enough. For others, it won’t. They’ll need to know that you are there to control as they want.

So, they limit your visits to and from your family. They won’t like your friends and make it impossible for you to see them without a major row. Eventually you find yourself becoming more and more isolated.

Are you being told that you are so ugly that you should be grateful they still like you?

Are they trying to control how you dress and if you can use makeup?

Do you end up having to ask permission to do what you need to do?

Or do you have to sneak out to see people? If you don’t tell the controller and they find out – are you frozen out? Or is there an almighty row?

These are just some of the things that can happen when you have someone in your life who controls you. Before you know it, you can’t do anything without their permission.

You can’t rely on your judgement because you’re always being told your judgement is wrong. You lose confidence in yourself and though you feel trapped, are too afraid to change things.

The good news is that there is a lot that can be done to improve your life.

First – you have to recognise that you are being controlled by others.

Second – stop making excuses for their behaviour. No, it is not all your fault for aggravating them. No, things won’t change if you become silent or diminish yourself.

Third – Get some help to restore your belief in yourself and your right to exist.

I will be hosting a workshop with Dr Mariette Jansen, who is an expert on Narcissistic Behaviour.

We will help you identify the areas where you’ve been affected. Then, using the Stamford Healing Process, I will heal all the people on the workshop of many of these aspects. The Process is fast, it’s easy and it works. You can’t fail because I do it for you.

Click below to find out more:

There are only 10 places on the workshop, so don’t delay.

Find out more with no obligation. I look forward to seeing some of you there.
